Mark Shunk has used his unique combination of strategic business
vision, leadership energy and hands-on management expertise to pursue
a number of innovative and successful business ventures in a wide
array of corporate and entrepreneurial settings.
As President and CEO of Cadence Network, LLC, Mark led the development
and explosive growth of an award-winning web-based information services
company with marquee clients such as The Limited, Blockbuster Video,
and Key Bank. As Vice President, Sales and Operations, for
Sempra Energy Solutions, Mark was the senior executive responsible
for all revenue creation for this leader in the rapidly evolving
energy market. For the prior 17 years, Mark held numerous
positions of increasing responsibility in Honeywell Inc.'s Home
and Building Control organization at both the corporate and field
level.
Since joining the O'Brien Group in 2002, Mark has been focusing his efforts on helping his 'C-level' clients realize their full leadership potential through coaching and operational assistance. Clients have included Catholic Healthcare Partners, Mercy Health Partners, Philips Medical Systems, Luxottica Retail (LensCrafters), Limited Brands, Newland Communities, CenturyTel, Valassis, and Relizon.
As both a past recipient and provider of executive coaching, Mark has experienced the difference executive coaching can make. His ability to relate to client business issues that he, himself, has dealt with make him extremely effective in helping his clients get more work done, with less effort. By focusing on their innate gifts, he enables them to become the kinds of leaders their organizations need while developing new, life-long leadership behaviors. His particular strengths include coaching individual executives and teams to communicate clearly and consistently (both internally and externally), coaching executives taking on increased responsibility, and coaching leadership teams in high-change environments to exceptional performance by creating trust-based relationships.
Mark contributes his personal leadership through his affiliations with
The Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Athletes in Action, and the
Purdue University Krannert Business School Alumni Advisory Board. He is also active in short-term mission work, education and his church. Mark, his wife Suzy and their
two teenage children live near Cincinnati, Ohio.
Mark received a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Management
from Purdue University.
