"Unless you try to do something beyond what you have already mastered, you will never grow."

>Ralph Waldo Emerson

Dr. Neil Stroul has spent the past twenty-five years immersed in Organization Development and Human Resources Development in a variety of roles. That experience, coupled with his Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology, gives Neil tremendous expertise in dealing with the human dynamics at work when organizations and individuals are faced with change.

Neil incorporates the skills of an experienced business consultant and entrepreneur with the techniques and training of a professional psychologist. As a result, he’s able to help executives become stronger leaders by helping them learn to better manage their own development.

Neil’s coaching work focuses on both individual senior executives and senior leadership teams. His prominent clients have included Capital One, the World Bank, Nextel, VF Corporation, MITRE, W.R. Grace, IFC, O’Melveny & Myers, WilmerHale, Deltek, NIH, and the Brookings Institution.

An accomplished speaker and writer, Neil has spoken extensively at conferences sponsored by the American Society of Training and Development about the role of managers in developing their people. He’s made presentations at national conferences sponsored by the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM), and the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE). Neil also conducts the Profit From Experience workshop developed by Dr. Michael O’Brien.

Neil has published several articles on how managers and organizations can foster the growth and learning of members of their workforce. He is currently writing a book, Up Until Now: Authorship in Leading and Living. When he isn’t coaching, speaking or writing, Neil can be found teaching an Executive Coaching program at Georgetown University. He’s been the Dean of the Federal Judicial Center’s Summer Institute for Senior Court Administrators since its inception. Neil has been an associate with the O’Brien Group since 1997.

With his Ph.D. from Florida State University, Neil continues to be an avid FSU football fan and dreams of seats on the fifty yard line at the Orange Bowl for the national championship. He makes his home in Washington, D.C.
